CGL Couriers does not charge duty fees in excess of $100 USD without providing C Reference # (customs verification # for duty charge) generated by Jamaica Customs Agency.
CGL Couriers however does charge processing fees for invoices in excess of $100 USD once duty was not charged on the package.
CGL Couriers recommends that all packages are checked before leaving our CGL office. Packages collected and leaves our office we are not liable for missing or damage items.
The General Consumption Tax (GCT) is levied only on the freight weight of the packages. At present, we are now mandated by the Tax Administration Department of Jamaica to collect GCT. The 15% GCT will be paid over monthly to TAJ, this is not a CGL revenue.
